This is story of donkey which teaches you a lesson. One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well . The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided that animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to save the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.A few shovel loads later, the farmer was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey would shake it off and take a step up.As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed to see the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off !

So true<3

“Shake it off and take a step up”…
The weak ones will throw dirt at you even after you helped them out. They are what we call ingrates and there’s a lot of them out there. Because they are users and they have a lot of dirt in their hands, by nature, they will throw their dirt at you. Do not go down to their level. Let them know that you are above their pettiness and yet you are aware of who they are. Continue what you do best. Let them wallow in their own misery…
Strong ones lift people up, the weak ones will try to pull you down…

Very inspiring story!
Wonderful story. I do hope the donkey gave the farmer a swift kick though.
Adam, it’s a “story” .. =) It was meant to be inspiring.
I think you missed the point. This didn’t really happen. It’s a story with a morel. 🙂
Adam, think of the farmer as a very bad man and the donkey as the underdog. The underdog figured out how to save his own life and win, despite the bad man’s efforts to do him in.
Correct Marjorie and add to the end of that that, this didn’t really happen. The story is fiction.
Wow Adam going OVERBOARD with your own perspective there are ya? For God sake get over it and don’t read things like this if you’re going to FREAK like that over it. Hey what if nobody was around to even throw dirt on the poor donkey. He would have died in the well. At least this way the donkey was able to get out. Maybe this is a different version of a real story. Maybe the point was to shovel in dirt as to start building up ground for the donkey to get out. because other attempts to rescue it were not successful.
Selma Galev Just seen this after i posted. Neat story. SO long as GOD knows your intentions are not bad then who’s to judge about a story regardless it’s purpose. SHEESH
I get it that this is a nice story with a great moral. However, lets get back to that picture. Where was it taken, what happened?
wtf? how can a farmer get away with burying the poor donkey alive? Where I come from that’s fucking animal cruelty! Not inspiring just proving that the donkey is smarter the farmer!
then*
Amazing words of wisdom! I’m sharing! Thank you! And I signed up for your daily email!
one of my favorites!
well Adam, I have to agree a little with you, I was a little shocked to think that anyone would attempt to bury any animal alive… and using that to get a point across didn’t set well with me either…. although just a story, I do like the ending and the point made.
